The Baja Room at Marina Village is one of the more difficult locations for sound since it is a very long and narrow room. Wireless speakers always work well in this situation and help guests down at the other end of the room hear toasts, events, and announcements. I also provided some uplights which matched their colors exactly and helped “dress up” the room. Lots of dancing and drinking. One of the craziest group of groomsmen.

This was a crazy one. Tons of equipment and two seperate locations. After providing the ceremony music and microphones in Balboa Park we then moved over to the Cypress Room for the reception. I projected their video during the cocktail hour. Excellent food and a pretty good dancing group.

A classy masquerade ball themed wedding with an amazing crowd at the Westgate Hotel downtown. Highlights included the masks that were given to each guest, the unique cake, as well as, the cake being cut with a sword. The uplighting really added to the room and their monogram projected on the dance floor added a personal touch.

The El Cortez is a unique round shaped room with a wood carved ceiling. The cake spotlighting truly helps the cake stand out in a great way. Uplights look beautiful on the outdoor tent during cocktail hour. Fun groom’s cake that looked exactly like a box of cigars. This wedding was a referral from their photographers at Theorie. Another great dancing group!

The Abbey is a location that is a little different from the normal standard ballroom. Cool upstairs balcony for cocktail hour, sunken dance floor, and dramatic architecture. This wedding was a referral from a previous wedding they attended. One cool thing about this wedding – I was able to project their video up on the curved wall from the upper balcony. The image had to be at least 30 feet wide above the dining tables which made for a dramatic presentation.

The Island Palms Hotel has a tropical feel to the location and is right on the bay near the docks. The cake spotlighting made a huge difference. The uplights always amaze me how they can transform almost any room into something magical. Below is a great example of two photos. One with the cake spotlighting and one without.

Tom Ham’s Lighthouse has one of the best views of downtown and the San Diego bay. This wedding was a referral from a couple that I DJ’d for at their wedding almost 7 years ago. Wow have things changed since then! It is funny to reflect back at your work from years and years ago and realize the progression that takes place through experience. Always continuing to learn and improve… The blue uplights really helped out the tan room.
